I make language learning fun
With computers

I’m passionate about second language acquisition and technology that makes learning languages approachable and fun.

I’m studying computer science to learn how to answer people's “language learning buts”, the many worries and concerns that too often follow the phrase “I’d like to learn a new language”. I enjoy testing existing solutions to these problems, as well as proposing my own--mainly in python, always with love.

I'm seeking internship and research assistant opportunities in natural language processing and artificial intelligence.

I graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in American Studies in 2015. I took my first CS class in my last semester there. It was an experimental course that taught how to use computer science techniques to solve liberal arts problems. This course opened up a whole new world for me! It changed how I approached language learning, and it inspired me to pursue an advanced degree in computational linguistics.
